The House - AnchorageWells Rooms 16th Century Cottage:-
It is industry standard to list the services and facilities that are available and not the ones we dont have, If it is not listed please ask.
Based on Room Only, no meals or parking. We discounted the prices to exclude breakfast when we were not able to serve breakfast during covid. We then found that guests preferred the lower rate than the rate that included breakfast.
We are the best rate for a king room in such a sought after location.
We provide lots of tips to help you find parking and have an easy check in.
King comfortable beds in every room, per reviews.
All rooms are En-suite with Showers
Free fibre optic Wifi in all rooms and the apartment
Heated towel rails
Flat screen TV with freesat
Crisp white linen
Tea, coffee and biscuit, for a cuppa each morning.
Fridge in 2 of the rooms and access to a fridge in the entrance room
Hot water bottles
HairdryerTowels including Dark towels, tea cloths, cleaners and cleaning cloths
Central heating and an extra heater in each room
Sofa's or soft chairs in every room
Iron and board in the dining room.
We only list things that we do provide and not the things that we dont have, so please ask and check with us if its something that is important to you and will affect the enjoyment of your stay.
See the Apartment or the Lodge on the tabs above.
The entrance room has a fridge for guests but we are based on room only and do not have self catering facilities, as it is not serviced daily. Please leave this room as found for other guests as they will need to pass thru this area to get to their rooms, so please exit to allow them to pass as it is too small to socially distance.
Recently, a guest was cancelled by the Crab House and we set up a table with lights and heating in the porch Please let us know if you would like this set up for you.
We ask that no takeaways are brought into the house due Avril's allergies.
We want our guests to feel at home, so if you need anything in your room or service please let us know as it is your private room while you are here, otherwise we do not go in your room again so no need to tidy while you are here.
Guests have their own furnished terrace that captures the early evening sun. Help your self to the cushions and blankets from the porch.
Cleaning and Damage Policies
To help me to maintain our properties and offer the best I can for our guests I now ask that guests agree to the cleaning and damage policy as a condition of booking. We do not charge extra fees for cleaning as we ask that you leave it as clean and as found, this does not affect our own thorough clean.
House Keeping and Room Servicing
We want you to feel at home, so just let me know if you need anything in your room as we do not go in the rooms again until your check-out.
We can help you plan a great day out
on our beautiful coast - whatever the weather, recommending the best walks, pubs and restaurants or maybe a trip out to see seals (an amazing experience boat trip), around 4000 pups born this season. See Wells-next-the-Seals page to see some seal rescue and seal family pictures :-)
Deposit and Payment
- To secure the booking please pay:-
- Either the full amount by bank transfer
- OR the DEPOSIT of £100 and the outstanding amount is payable on arrival contactless.
- We do not take bank transfer at a later date so that we can keep track of when guests pay (or don’t pay).
- If you want to pay by bank transfer the full amount is due at the time of booking per standard industry practise.
- The deposit and or the amount paid is non refundable from 10 weeks before arrival date.
- For you, cash on arrival means that you don’t need to worry about paying the full amount before you actually arrive which is then too late for us to accept a bank transfer. For us, these payment methods allow us to easily manage the payments received since covid and avoids issues we have had in the past whilst allowing a fair cancellation policy for guests.
